Because of the flu outbreak, the Indiana State Department of Health recommends anyone six months of age or older to get the flu shot,
especially those at higher risk of complications. High risk individuals include pregnant women, young children, people with chronic illnesses and/or compromised immune systems and the elderly.
The Marian Community can receive their $20.00 flu shot by calling the Student Health Center TODAY!! The Marian University Student Health Center number: 317-955-6154.
Tips to help protect against the spread of influenza include: Properly wash your hands frequently with warm, soapy water.
Cover your cough and sneeze with your arm or a disposable tissue.
Stay home from school/work when you are sick to keep your germs from spreading.
Please contact the student health center if you experience the following influenza symptoms, whether or not you have been vaccinated:
- Fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or greater
- Muscle aches
