The Libertarian party’s candidate for the President of the United States, Gary Johnson, will be at Marian University on Thursday, October 25 at 11 a.m. in the Mother Theresea Hackelmeier Memorial Library Auditorium.
“A major purpose of a university is to provide and encourage a marketplace of ideas. Gov. Gary Johnson's visit to Marian University for a town hall with students, faculty, and staff represents a unique educational and historical opportunity. The Marian University audience will be able to meet, interact with, and question a presidential candidate who is running a national campaign and is on the ballot in Indiana and 46 other states,” said Pierre M. Atlas, Ph.D., Associate professor of political science and director of The Richard G. Lugar Franciscan Center for Global Studies.
Johnson, the former two-term Republican governor of New Mexico, will arrive on campus at approximately 10:45 a.m. for photo opportunities before the town hall forum.
Note: Marian University will happily host both President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney.
