Beginning in June, Marian College will host Summer Math and Science Camps for K-12 students and Summer Math and Science Teacher Workshops for elementary, middle school, and high school teachers.
Student day camps provide interactive, hands-on learning in the areas of mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physics. The camps are sponsored by the Life Science Education Center at Marian College and will be led by Marian College faculty and staff as well as local teachers. Students will take field trips and participate in hands-on learning in the Marian College EcoLab, the college’s 55-acre nature preserve.
Marian College also offers an intensive summer workshop experience for elementary, middle school, and high school teachers. Workshops provide new hands-on activities and resources for math and science teachers. Professional development grants, stipends, credits toward license renewal, and graduate credits are available.
Visit the Life Science Education Center at Marian College web site for more information, schedule, and fees for the student camps and teacher workshops.
