“On the move and making history!” is a very familiar phrase around Marian University. And, never was it more fitting than recently when President Daniel Elsener announced that Marian University will open Indiana’s first school of osteopathic medicine. According to an article in The Indianapolis Star dated January 15, 2010, a pledge of $30 million from an anonymous donor—the largest gift in the university’s history—has been received for the project. The college of osteopathic medicine could open as early as 2012 with a class of 125 to 150 students.
