Faculty Spotlight - 6/23/2010

Thomas ReddingtonThom Reddington began teaching for MAP in the fall semester of 2009. Specializing in international law, global marketing, and business ethics, he has extensive international work experience which he brings into the classroom. Reddington’s students continually express an appreciation for his expertise in the international marketplace. Although recently retired from Delphi, Reddington remains a presence in the international world of business; he owns Redcon LLC, an international business consulting company, doing contract work for a company in China, Redboard USA. He has recently joined the team at Enerdel, a manufacturer of lithium polymer batteries used in hybrid electric vehicles and military applications. However, when asked what brings with it the most pleasure, he replies that teaching tops the list.

Often seen sporting a Marian University polo shirt, Reddington feels quite at home in the Marian University community. According to Reddington, “MAP students are very focused and the administrative staff is made up of outstanding, caring professionals.” Maintaining a high level of academic integrity in the classroom is a priority for Reddington, and has gained him the respect and admiration of the students. When not teaching, you can often find him coaching the girls’ basketball team, as well as boys’ and girls’ tennis at Shenandoah High School in Middletown, Indiana. Reddington also dedicates time to Habitat for Humanity where he is a board member and electrician. Most recently, though, Reddington has been enjoying his new role as a grandfather.
