MAP Students Study in England - 5/26/2011

For the third year, MAP students have taken advantage of a unique opportunity to complete a study abroad course, something most often available only to students in traditional semester programs. On May 6, 13 students left Indianapolis International Airport for London, England, where they were met by Robert Schuttler, assistant professor of business and economics and director of Business Creation and Development at Marian University.

The Contemporary European Business Issues course, headquartered in castle-like accommodations at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, gives students a glimpse into global business in a European context. In addition to classroom study, students visit major British corporations such as the Jaguar factory.

Those enrolled in this year’s course are Jill Blaschke, Raymond Henson, Vallie Gleghorn, Matthew Hess, Ebony Lewis, Lisa Cole, Donna Meier, Carlotta Ford, Caitlin Ward, Janna Goldman-Montgomery, Christina Walling, Seleyoun Dunbar, and Anthony Kamp.

It’s not too early to talk to your academic advisor to find out how you could use this course within your specific degree plan. You can register your classes during the next three semesters to position yourself to be a part of the fourth study abroad class. It’s a great opportunity. Don’t miss it!
