Fred S. Klipsch, chairman of the board of directors of Klipsch Group, Inc., has joined the Marian University Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Judy, purchased the company from founder Paul W. Klipsch in 1989 and built it into one of the world's premier audio products companies. in 2011, Audiovox purchased Klipsch Group, Inc.
Not only an entrepreneur, Klipsch is also widely recognized for his tireless efforts to provide quality education options for low-income families. He is chairman of the board of Educational CHOICE Charitable Trust and chairman of School Choice of Indiana.
"Fred built a world-class business with hard work and integrity and we are pleased to have him on our board," said Marian University's president, Daniel J. Elsener. "He shares our belief that education is a transformational experience and I look forward to working with him closely in these endeavors."
