Michael G. Browning will join four other notable Hoosiers who will be inducted into The Indiana Academy at its 41st annual symposium on Monday, June 6, 2011 at The Conrad Indianapolis. This honor recognizes lifetime achievements and contributions to the state of Indiana.
Browning received an honorary degree from Marian University in 2007; he also serves as a vice chairman of the university's comprehensive fundraising effort, Make History. He is chairman of the board and president of Browning Investments, Inc., an Indianapolis-based real estate development company; board member of the Indianapolis Economic Development Commission, vice chairman of the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association, and board and executive committee member of the Indiana Sports Corporation; University of Notre Dame alumnus, Man of the Year, and member of its Graduate School Advisory Council; and recipient of honorary doctorates from Marian and Martin Universities.

Modeled after The French Academy, The Indiana Academy was established in 1970 by ICI to recognize individual leadership, achievement, and philanthropy designed to promote the advancement of the state.
