On Wednesday, December 8, 2010 Catholics everywhere will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Marian University will celebrate with an 11 a.m. mass featuring Archbishop Daniel Buechlein of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis as celebrant. University offices will be closed for one hour (between 11 a.m. and noon) and classes during that time cancelled so the entire campus community can attend the mass.
Marian University is so named to honor Mary, and a statue of her sits prominently at the entrance to Marian Hall on the university’s campus. The public is invited to join the campus community at the mass and celebrate our namesake.
