The search is on for a new director for the Office of Alumni Affairs at Marian University.
The director will be responsible for developing a strategic plan that reaches all Marian University alumni, as well as developing and executing plans and activities related to alumni engagement, student and alumni engagement, fundraising, and recruiting students. A complete description and list of job qualifications are available on the Marian University web site; qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
The director will report to Bob Golobish, vice president for marketing communications, who recently created a blog to solicit feedback about the roles and responsibilities of the new alumni director; this feedback was taken into consideration in the position description. In the blog, Golobish stressed the importance of alumni input in selecting the new director. “There is no question that this is an important moment in the institution's history, and at this juncture it seems appropriate to seek input from others and to re-evaluate the role and responsibilities of director of alumni affairs before selecting someone for the position,” Golobish said.
