Dr. Bill Mirola, associate professor of sociology at Marian College, recently published Religion and Class in America: Culture, History, and Politics (co-edited with Sean McCloud).
Published by Brill Publishers, the book, which includes studies based on events and document analysis, surveys and interviews, and participant observation of religious groups, focuses on the ways in which class interacts with the theologies, practices, beliefs, and group affiliations of American religion.
Dr. Mirola has published several other works regarding issues surrounding religion, social class, and culture. His last book was Sociology of Religion: A Reader (co-authored by Susanne C. Monahan and Michael O. Emerson), published in 2000 by Prentice Hall.
