On Saturday, September 13, 2008, the Marian College cycling team won the collegiate track cycling national championship after a grueling three-day competition in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This is the third year in a row the Knights have won the national title, and the 11th time in the past 14 years. In 2007, they received a special resolution from the Indianapolis City-County Council for their record-breaking success.
On Tuesday, September 30, there will be a celebratory dinner for the team at 7 p.m. at BadaBoomz Ale House & Grill, located at 4930 Lafayette Road in Indianapolis. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and congratulate the team.
