Governor Mitchell E. Daniels Jr. and First Lady Cheri Daniels and Mayor Bart Peterson and Mrs. Amy Minick Peterson will serve as honorary co-chairs.

Dr. and Mrs. John C. Lechleiter co-chair the Corporate and Foundation committee.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Carson and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore D. Dickman are co-chairs of the Opportunities for Excellence Scholarship Celebration and Dinner committee.

Nearly 900 people will attend the annual event, which raises money for student scholarships. The college has raised over $3.5 million this year for scholarships; this event will raise over $500,000.

The college will honor two recipients of the Franciscan Values Awards. The Franciscan Values Awards recognize community leaders and an organization that demonstrate the four sponsorship values of Marian College : dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship.
