On October 14, 2010, renderings for the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences were approved; the new building will house the college of osteopathic medicine and the university's School of Nursing so doctors and nurses can train together.

Indianapolis architectural firm Schmidt Associates is the lead architect for this project.
