Richard Schuster, DO

Richard Schuster, DO joined the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013, as an associate professor in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

Dr. Schuster attended the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1994, after completing a fellowship in Osteopathic Principles and Practice. He completed a residency in family medicine at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio, and a fellowship in sports medicine at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He served two years aboard USS Frank Cable as medical department head, and one year as head of the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Team for Recruit Training Command, United States Navy.

Dr. Schuster’s academic interests include musculoskeletal medicine, biomechanics, and functional anatomy, with particular emphasis in how the body transmits and organizes information to coordinate movement.
