Biology Program
Students in the biology program at Marian University can earn a degree with any of five different concentrations.  Depending on the student's long-term goals, students can elect to pursue either a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science degree.  An innovative four-course core curriculum of BIO 201 (Academic Tools of Science), BIO 202 (Evolution and Ecology), BIO 203 (Genes and Genomics), and BIO 204 (Cell Biology) are taken once the prerequisites of chemistry, mathematics, and physics have been completed.
 
Requirements:
Mathematics Placement Test
All students who have scored less than 500 on the SAT or less than 19 on the ACT are required to take the mathematics placement test. The results of the test are used to place students in the appropriate mathematics courses.

Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Biology
 
Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in Biology

Also available:
Minor in Biology
To complete the minor in biology, a student must complete at least 20 credit hours of biology at or above the level of 201.  This does not include BIO 214.
