Mock Trial Team 
Mock Trial is an intercollegiate competition conducted under the auspices of the American Mock Trial Association. It is designed to give undergraduate students an opportunity to learn first hand about the work of trial attorneys, understand the judicial system, develop critical thinking, and enhance communication skills.

Pre-Law students at Marian are invited to participate in the Marian Mock Trial Team. Students may earn enhancement credits toward graduation by enrolling in Mock Trial I and Mock Trial II.

LAW 101 (Mock Trial I)
This course is for students who desire to participate in mock Trial competition during the Spring semester. Students learn the procedures and standards for the American Mock Trial Association and develop and practice presenting the mock trial case for that year. Members of Marian's mock trial team are selected from the students in the course. Students may enroll in the course more than once. 

LAW 102 (Mock Trial II)
Prerequisite: LAW 101 immediately proceeding fall semester and/or permission of instructor. This course is for students who are selected from LAW 101 to be members of Marian's mock trial team. Students continue to develop and practice their presentation of the mock trial case for that year and participate in competition with other colleges and universities. Students may enroll in the course more than once.
