Description

The Lugar Fellow Global Studies Scholarship is an annually renewable scholarship for students who pursue a minor in global studies. The 18-hour global studies minor is designed to fit with any major at Marian University in the liberal arts or professional studies (business, education, or nursing), and consists of interdisciplinary global studies courses, additional foreign language study, and required study abroad experience. Lugar Fellows are also eligible for an exclusive, one-week spring break program based in the Washington, D.C. office of Senator Richard G. Lugar. Students meet with Senator Lugar, attend sessions of Congress, tour museums and the centers of power in Washington, visit a foreign embassy, and receive exclusive briefings by Senate Foreign Relations Committee staffers and other international experts.

The program awards Lugar Fellow Scholarships worth up to $6,000 each year to incoming students.
