After you complete your RA Application, we invite all G.P.A. eligible candidates to attend a required group process that will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in University Hall beginning at 1:00 p.m.  The dress for this is casual as some activities may require you to move around.  For this group process, you will be working with other Resident Assistant Applicants to solve problems, share critical thinking, form group consensus, etc.  You will also participate in a brief interview with current Resident Assistants as part of this process.  The entire group process will last approximately 3 hours.

We will contact you via email following the group process.  A select group of applicants will be invited for an individual interview during the week of Wednesday, February 6, through Wednesday, February 13, 2013.  These interviews will be held by current Resident Directors.  Interviewers will ask you questions related to the administrative tasks involved in the Resident Assistant position (discipline, programming, administrative abilities, etc.), and questions of a more personal nature (time management, outside commitments, etc.).  The interview will last approximately 20-25 minutes.  This is a job interview and we ask candidates to dress accordingly.

Interviewing can sometimes be a stressful process, so we will try to be as transparent as possible. This process takes place in phases. The first phase is meeting the G.P.A. requirement.  If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be invited to participate in the Group Process Interview. The next phase is the Individual Interview.  Once the Group Process Interview is complete, all participating applicants will be emailed with the determination of the current Resident Directors.  This email will either thank you for your participation or request that you schedule an Individual Interview for further consideration.  The last phase of the Resident Assistant hiring process will be an offer for a position.  Letters and thank you letters will be distributed into mailboxes for all applicants’ who participated in the Individual Interviews on Friday, February 15, 2013.  All applications will be kept on file and in the event we wish to re-activate your application, we will contact you.

If you have any questions about the interview and selection process please contact Katie England at or 317-955-6382.
